COMMITTEES OF THE SESSIONChristian Education CommitteePlans for and secures leadership and materials for educational programs in the church (including Sunday School). Communications Committee Keeps the church and community informed of exciting things happening in our congregation. Congregational Life Committee Seeks to promote stronger fellowship ties among members, especially through church suppers and an annual congregational retreat. Evangelism Committee Takes the lead in helping our church attract and assimilate new members. Finance Committee Oversees financial matters for the church; plans annual budget. Mission Committee Interprets to the congregation the worldwide mission of the church and provides opportunities for personal involvement in that mission. Personnel Committee Develops personnel policies and conducts periodic evaluations of personnel needs and performance. Property Committee Cares for the physical properties of the church and plans for future maintenance needs. Stewardship Committee Interprets the meaning of Christian stewardship throughout the year; conducts the annual campaign to subscribe the challenge budget. Student Ministries Committee Helps provide direction, support and resources to the FPC Student Ministries Staff, Interns and Volunteers as to how to best reach students (Jr. High, Sr. High and College) of FPC and this community for Christ. Wilson House/FARM Committee Develops policies regarding the use of the Wilson House and FARM (Family Activities Center) and oversees their maintenance and improvements. Worship and Music Committee Plans for special services of worship, organizes procedures for communion, and oversees use of the sanctuary. |
