Children's & Youth Choirs

Chapel Chime Choir
The Chapel Chime Choir is open to children in grades 4-6. The choir meets on Wednesday from 5:10-5:45 p.m., September through early May. They perform several times during the year at the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. worship services, for the annual Serendipity Sunday service, and at various special church events. Handchimes are similar to handbells, but lighter in weight. Children in this group learn basic music reading skills and ringing techniques. Marlene Murphy is the director for this group. Marlene also directs the adult bell choirs, sings in the Sanctuary Choir, and teaches private piano through the First Baptist Church Music Academy.
