Kids Ministry

There are so many wonderful resources being shared during this bizarre time in our world! What a blessing social media is right now! However, many may find the abundance of information overwhelming! I am committed to digging through the endless resources and sharing some of the most applicable ones I find! Join me each Wednesday on FB or our YouTube page for something to apply and a video you can share with your children!

Although we are technically just coming off of Spring Break, I am already missing the little faces desperately! I would love to get videos of your kids also! Text, email or FaceTime me!!!

You can also follow along at home for the lessons and activities we already had planned for the semester! I will be continuing to prepare lessons each week (for Crossings and Children’s Church) and can send the details via email.

Lots of love,

Mrs Beth

Acts 10:43

How else can you pass the endless hours at home?? Here is a list of resources that have been shared with us!

They are offering a free trial currently.  You can search for videos to go along with your lessons OR just look for videos of interest!

Looking for a change of scenery? Take a virtual field trip! A zoo, an aquarium, a concert…. The sky is the limit!
Listening skills are HARD and screen time is EASY! Explore this list of podcasts for kids, choose a topic of interest and pull out the legos or magnatiles.  You will be shocked at what your kids absorb as their hands create and ears listen…their little brains will expand!!!

Many of us are beginning to look towards teaching at home, whether we have resources from our schools or are just winging it! Don’t forget to help your children grow their faith during this homebound time.  LifeWay Publishing is a great resource FPC uses for Kids Ministry often and they generously are providing resources to be used at home during this time. Check it out!!!

Region 9 has also gathered some resources to be accessed at home for early learners.
Hearts Alive (the curriculum we use for Children’s Church, Sunday School and Crossings!) has started teaching their lessons on YouTube each week. This is a wonderful opportunity for our youngest to continue to grow in faith during out time apart!
ABC Jesus Loves Me is a wonderful preschool curriculum (our preschool TLC uses it!) and they are offering Live Preschool Worship opportunities on their FaceBook page. Music and movement are so important for little learners and this group is certainly helping with that. You will experience interactive Bible stories, Bible songs and memory verses to work on together at home. Certainly a good option to add to your new routines at home!
The Bible Project has been a trusted source for a long time, but they have really stepped up their game in response to Co-Vid! They have a Church at Home publication each week with timely and applicable messages, videos, discussion questions and opportunities to dig a little deeper. The videos are great for all ages, the commentary and questions can be adjusted for different age groups.
