Worship at FPC
Worship at First Presbyterian follows an order for worship that leads us as we focus our hearts on God, confess our sins, sing praises, offer our tithes (for regular attenders and covenant partners), and receive the Word of God preached. The service includes a variety of musical styles. The order of service acts as a guide in worship. It is not meant to be ritualistic or unexpressive, but as an invitation to direct our hearts, minds, and bodies in the adoration and praise of God.
Children are welcome in the sanctuary during worship. We have “Moments with Children” during worship where the kids can come forward to learn a brief Bible lesson and a prayer. Following the "Moments with Children," children are welcome to remain in worship, or parents can bring their child for care during the sermon and pick up after the service.
