Youth group is a place for 6th-12th graders to belong. It does not matter if you are the most talented person, a wallflower, talk too much, or the best singer on the earth! We want you to know that here at FPC Student Ministries you matter and you are heard! We are here to help strengthen your personal walk with Jesus so that you will be able to defend your faith to the world.
Wednesday Night Youth
On Wednesday nights we gather together in the Undercroft from 6-7:30! On the third Wednesday of every month, we eat together for Church Night Supper before going to the Undercroft for our lesson. On a typical Wednesday we will start a short game or two before diving into Scripture. After a lesson taught by Michael, we will either break into small groups and go more in-depth with the passage or have fun by playing ping-pong or drawing! We look forward to seeing you here!!
We meet from 9:30-10:15 in the Undercroft at the church.
Once a month we gather together for fun events! This could be game nights, bowling or lock-ins! They are always fun and food is almost ALWAYS involved!!
Confirmation is when our middle schoolers dive into what it means to be a Christian. We meet from 5-6 on certain Sunday afternoons in the Undercroft. At the end of this twelve-week course, the students can become members of the church here at First Presbyterian Church! Ask Michael for more information.
We have three different kinds of forms, only one is mandatory though! The 1-1 Form is if you wish for your student to meet with one of our youth volunteers or staff on a one-on-one basis during the school year. This is done in a public place, like a park, or coffee shop. One of the best ways to minister to students is to spend this valuable one-on-one time with them!
The next form is our Photo Release Form. If we do not get this back then we will not post photos of your child on any website.
The next form is our Youth Group Covenant, this is something we strive for. We know that none of us are perfect so it is impossible for us to perfectly uphold the covenant.
The last form is our mandatory form. It is our Medical Release Form. It is our medical release form and if you do not get it in then you cannot go! We do a lot of fun stuff for our youth but we need this on file for the worst-case scenario!
If you are interested in volunteering with our wonderful group of young people please fill out Volunteer Application and get it back to Michael as soon as you can!
